Gavin Ryan

Founding Partner and Managing Director

Gavin is a founding partner with Taylor Ryan and is responsible for leading the executive search group, client advisory services and oversight of Taylor Ryan’s operations. Working with a team of experienced professionals, Gavin focuses on delivering retained recruitment services to real estate, construction, mining + industrial, and financial services companies across Canada and the US.

Gavin has over a decade of experience in executive search and has led industry practices for two global search firms both in Canada and the UK. During his career, Gavin has focused on providing Executive Search services to the real estate, construction, accounting + finance and financial services industries in North America.

Gavin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and is a past Vice Chair to the board of the Scotiabank Dance Center and committee member with the Vancouver club and ULI BC. He is also responsible for co-chairing the ULI product council in BC.

JULIE TAYLORSON

Julie is a Founding Partner with Taylor Ryan and leads the Real Estate Practice working with Real Estate Developers across the Pacific North West. Julie is also responsible for leading a team of Principal’s providing recruitment services to various industry sectors for CFO and Accounting verticals, as well as providing Human Resource Management services to small/medium size clients. As a key figure within Taylor Ryan’s Real Estate Practice, Julie also sits on the Executive Committee at ULI BC.

Julie holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management; a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology; Executive Management training through UBC’s Sauder School of Business, as well as professional designations with the CPHR (HRMA) in Canada and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in the UK. With 15 years of professional experience Julie brings a breadth of knowledge across all areas of HR and Recruitment.

Prior to founding Taylor Ryan, Julie worked with a variety of small and large businesses across a variety of industries in both Canada and the UK. These ranged from billion-dollar construction company Balfour Beatty to more recently Private Equity Real Estate businesses

Servicing the Vancouver recruitment market for four years, Brock has an in-depth knowledge of the local market. Brock’s team supports trades hires for developers, general contractors, and subcontractors alike.

Originally from New Brunswick, Brock acquired his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and History at Dalhousie University in Halifax before moving to BC. When he isn’t helping clients hit project deadlines, Brock is often spending his time at the gym, playing rugby, or trying the latest sour beer from a local brewery.

Callum is a Principal for the Commercial Real Estate Division at Taylor Ryan. Originally from the UK, he has now settled in Vancouver after spending the last few years travelling the world.

Callum has been working in the world of Real Estate Recruitment for the past two years. He specializes within three core verticals – Commercial, Residential and Strata Property Management. He regularly helps clients find top talent in the following positions: Property Managers, Operations Managers, Operations Supervisors, Building Operators, Asset Managers, and Leasing Managers.
