Bold Properties have partnered with Taylor Ryan to find an experienced Development Manager to join their team in Vancouver.

As the Development Manager, you will play an integral part in the coordination and leadership of ongoing projects and supporting the internal project team. You will manage the complete development process after site acquisition through to tenant move-in and manage the selection of consultant team and coordinate of activities throughout the development process. You will prepare submissions, and monitor rezoning, subdivisions, developments, and building permit applications to ensure timely approval. You will coordinate closely with all departments to ensure that company standards are maintained and project goals are achieved.

One of the key tasks of the Development Manager will be to negotiate land and zoning approvals with local municipalities and neighbouring owners. When a project is underway, you will ensure that project costs are effectively controlled and that the public and municipal consultation processes is maintained throughout the development. The Development Manager will have a deep understanding of the markets that they are working in, including trends in pricing, and will communicate this information internally to support both the sales and acquisitions teams.

To be suitable for this role, you will ideally have a background in a relevant field such as Planning, Real Estate, Urban Land Economics, Business, Construction, or Architecture and have at least five years of experience in real estate development. You will have strong communication and organizational skills and be a highly organized self-starter who requires minimal supervision. You will ideally have a strong understanding of building construction and up-to-date knowledge of the building codes would be considered an asset.
