Lower Mainland Facilities Management (LMFM) provides services for Fraser Health (FH), Providence Health Care (PHC), the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), collectively, “the Organizations”. It is a vibrant and dynamic portfolio and one of the largest full-service FM organizations in the country. Its goal is to provide a wide range of effective and sustainable services to support the delivery of health care. We employ individuals in locations across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and the Central and Sunshine Coast.

We are seeking a dynamic Executive Director (ED) to lead the Strategic Development, Real Estate, Leasing & Property Management service lines. Your proven experience and passion for creating a culture of innovation and quality will be essential for adding value, managing risk, and providing superior service to LMFM’s community of customers. Your understanding of and ability to improve effectiveness and ensure efficiency in a unique and complex environment is also critical to the role, as is the ability to navigate political, structural, policy, financial and process constraints in a team-based, customer focused, and collaborative manner.

Lead your director team and work closely with your ED peers as part of an integrated senior leadership team, delivering on LMFM’s mission and vision and key client outcomes. Support the clinical mission of the Organizations and bring a fresh operational perspective to deliver effective facilities and real property solutions, leverage the value of the Organizations’ real estate assets, and develop strategic external partnerships that support the delivery of health care. Ensure best practice management of a portfolio of over five million square feet of leased properties across the Lower Mainland and Coasts and lead many complex land and property development projects from inception through approvals, design and construction.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree and/or professional designation in a relevant discipline. This will be supplemented with fifteen (15) years of leadership experience in a large, multi-site organization. You will have managed the planning and development of capital and strategic plans, ideally within the healthcare industry but other complex facilities projects will also be considered. A proven record of senior management and leadership is a key requirement for this position. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
